Bye, Barbara Ann ((Hardwicke) 81 of St. Petersburg died Monday, November 10, 2008 in the care of Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Born in Portland, Me. She moved to St. Petersburg in 1952 from Quincy, Mass. She was a participant in the opening of the first John Hancock Life Ins. Co. in St. Petersburg and the Office Supervisor until she retired in1987. She obtained the designation of Fellow Life Office Management Association (LOMA) in the insurance industry and was licensed in all facets of life insurance, casualty and securities. She was a charter member of the Garden of Peace Lutheran Church where in former years she sang in the choir & taught Sunday School. Loving music, she sang with the Sweet Adelines Inc. for 25 years and the Dixie Chords Quartet for 20 years. She loved dancing and played the piano, organ, keyboard & ukelele.
