She was a retired Executive Secretary for a Christian Ministry from 1949 to 1985. She was a member of Starkey Road Baptist Church, Seminole. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. William Ward Ayer. She is survived by a niece, Mary Ellen (Scofield) Silvers, and husband Roy of Gainesville, Fl., great nephews, Roy Hiram Silvers and Fon Hunter Silvers, 3 great great nieces & 1 great great nephew, friends, Ralph & Charlotte Clutton of Murphy, N.C., Sally Bonson of Wheaton, Illinois, Kathleen Brotherton & Martha Laycock of St. Petersburg, faithful caregivers, JoAnn Sinclair, Faye Foster, Geraldine Fricke, Joni D
