Vera, Barbara Moreland, died April 9, 2022. She was born in 1934 in St. Petersburg, FL and graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1952. Prior to retirement, Barbara was employed by Wallace, Welch and Willingham Ins. and later worked for Coca Cola Co. Barbara loved the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and cheered them on for years! She also was an avid quilter with an incredible eye for color and design, which was evident in the quilts she created. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Selma Thweatt; her husband Frank Vera Jr.; daughters Victoria Moreland Shelton Tremmel and Rebecca Moreland Hoffmeister. Her survivors include a son Lee Moreland and Family, Fort White,FL; daughter Karen Spindle Hobbs Moose, North Augusta, SC; stepsons Frank Vera III (Bea) CA; Kevin Vera, FL; Timm Vera (Donna Martin)and Michael Scott Vera (Brenda) of Canada; step-daughter Kristina Provines (Michael), FL; and 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. A gathering of loving friends and family will be held at 10:00 a.m. with a service following at 11:00 a.m.on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at R. Lee Williams Funeral Home at 3530 49th Street North in St. Petersburg, FL. Interment will be held at a later date at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation.
