Duran, Joseph 73 of St. Petersburg died Saturday, June 9, 2007 at home under the care of hospice. He moved here 1974 from his native White Plains, New York. Locally he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was manager of the Connors Mobile Home Park for 15 years before becoming a real estate agent for Marie Powell Reality for ten years. He was Past Exulted Ruler of Elks Lodge 2217 of Pinellas Park, he was a member of the St. Petersburg Toast Masters and was also a committee member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 334 of St. Petersburg. Mr. Duran is survived by his wife of 52 years: Patricia; five sons: Jose, Robin and Patrick all of St. Petersburg; Gregory, Davenport, Fl; Barry, Palm Harbor; one brother: Julian, White Plains, New York; two sisters: Jocora Aviles and Mercedes Leis both of White Plains; four grandchildren and one great grandson.
