Young, Robert Carlton 75 passed away January 21, 2009. He moved here in 1958 from his native Binghamton, New York. He was former Police Chief of St. Petersburg. He was also a member of the Pinellas Park Elks Lodge, National Rifle Assoc., American Legion Post 357, a graduate of St. Petersburg Junior College, the University of Tampa and the Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville. Mr. Young is survived by his loving wife, Petra L. Young; step-mother, Betty Young; step-father, Sam Boghosian; two sisters: Anne Wikstrom and Susan Puch; two brothers: Harold D. Young Jr. and Douglas Young; step-son: Benito Rodriguez; two step-daughters: Anna R. Rivera and Marelyn Elwood. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, Jan.24 from 10 A.M. until time of Memorial Service at 11 A.M. Interment will be later at Sunnyside Cemetery.
