William J. Daw

William J. Daw, III, of St. Petersburg, FL., passed away on October 17, 2007 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 11, 1932 in Wilkes-Barre, PA., son of the late Dr. William J. Daw and Alice Johnson Daw. He was a graduate of Wyoming Seminary, Kingston, PA. and Wilkes College, Wilkes-Barre, PA. where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Prior to his retirement, Bill was self-employed in the landscaping field in the Tampa-St. Petersburg area. He was a member of the Seminole Methodist Church and was involved with the Mens Club. Bill was also an active member of all Masonic Bodies in the St. Petersburg area, including Blue Lodge, the Consistory and the Temple. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. Bill was an avid motorcyclist and was a member of the St. Petersurg Goldwing Group of fellow enthusiasts. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Crews Daw at home, sons William J., IV and Brian R., both of St. Petersburg, sister Mariellen Daw Fine, Dallas, PA, step- daughter, Stephanie Lauster, Largo, FL, step-son Rick Moore, Beverly Hills, FL. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on October 24, 2007 at Bay Pines Cemetery at 2:15PM. Services will be conducted by Chaplain Jim Andrews and the American Legion 273, Madiera Beach.
