Miner, William Carlton 83 of St. Petersburg, went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2008. Born in Michigan, he moved to St. Petersburg in 1945. He was a W.W. II veteran. He was a St. Petersburg police officer for 20 years. He was a member of Starkey Road Baptist Church, Northeast Exchange Club, American Legion and the FOP. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betsy; son, Michael (Linda); daughter, Joy Keller (Richard). He was preceded in death by daughter, Janet Miner Jocelyn. Also survived by his brothers; Bob, Chuck and Fred Miner: sister, Dorothy; 5 grandchildren, Kelly Price, Kacey Guinter, Justin Jocelyn, Katie Keller, and Christopher Keller, and 6 great grandchildren. In our hearts forever. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, Oct. 3 from 10 A.M. until time of Memorial Service at 11 A.M. Interment will be held at a later date.
